A phobia is not a weakness, and it is not something you can simply think your way out of. It lives in a deeper part of the brain, in the part that is wired to protect you, and it responds to logic the way a smoke alarm responds to reassurance. The alarm does not care how many times you explain there is no fire. It just keeps going off.
That is what makes hypnotherapy so effective for phobias. It works directly with the unconscious mind, where the fear actually lives, rather than trying to argue you out of it at a conscious level.

A WORD ON EMETOPHOBIA
Emetophobia, the fear of being sick or of others being sick, is one of the most misunderstood and underdiagnosed phobias. It can quietly organise your entire life around avoidance, affecting what you eat, where you go, how you travel, and how much freedom you allow yourself. Many people who live with it have never told anyone how significant it is, because it can feel embarrassing or hard to explain.
I want you to know it is far more common than people realise, and it responds really well to hypnotherapy. You do not need to minimise it or justify it here.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Phobias are often one of the fastest areas to see results with hypnotherapy. Unlike anxiety or burnout, which tend to require a longer course of work, a specific phobia can often shift significantly in as few as three to six sessions. Simple, single-trigger phobias such as spiders or needles can sometimes resolve even more quickly.
More complex phobias, or those that have become woven into everyday life in significant ways such as emetophobia, may benefit from a slightly longer course of work. We will always discuss this together at the outset so you have a clear sense of what to expect.
HOW I WORK
I use a blend of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Rapid Solution Therapy (RST), alongside EMDR and EFT where appropriate. Together these approaches help the brain update its response to the trigger, releasing the fear at a neurological level rather than simply teaching you to manage it. For many clients, the shift feels remarkable, and the thing that once felt terrifying simply loses its charge.

INVESTMENT
Hypnotherapy sessions are £95 each when booked as a block of three or more, or £135 for a single session. For anxiety work, a block is usually the most effective and most cost-efficient way to begin.
