HOW I WORK WITH ANXIETY

I use a blend of approaches tailored to what you need, rather than a fixed programme that treats everyone the same. At the heart of my work is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which means we spend our time building the future you want rather than endlessly revisiting the past. The brain responds beautifully to this approach, and most clients notice a shift in how they feel within the first few sessions.

Alongside hypnotherapy, I draw on Rapid Solution Therapy (RST), EMDR, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), inner child work, and parts therapy where appropriate. These are not add-ons; they are tools I reach for when they will serve you best. For some clients, particularly those whose anxiety is held in the body, I may also recommend a course of reflexology or reiki alongside the hypnotherapy. The body and mind are not separate, and sometimes the most powerful shift begins in the nervous system rather than the thinking mind.

I always follow your lead. You will never be pushed into territory that does not feel right, and the pace of our work is always yours to set.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We begin with a free discovery call, a relaxed 30-minute conversation where you can tell me what is going on and ask any questions. There is no pressure and no obligation. It is simply a chance to see whether working together feels right.

If you choose to go ahead, your first session will include a full initial consultation so I can understand your history, your patterns, and what you are hoping to change. From there, we work at a pace that suits you.

Sessions are available in person in Wantage, Oxfordshire, and online via Zoom. Between sessions, I provide a personalised hypnotherapy audio recording to listen to each evening.

 

This supports better sleep, helps regulate the nervous system, and keeps the brain primed for positive change outside of our time together. It is a small daily habit that makes a significant difference.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Anxiety, particularly when it has been present for a long time or is tied to deeper patterns around relationships or burnout, typically responds best to a sustained course of sessions. Based on my clinical experience, most clients working on anxiety benefit from around 8 to 12 sessions, though some notice significant change more quickly.

The factors that influence this most are the nature and depth of the anxiety, your current stress levels, and your engagement between sessions. Clients who listen to their audio each evening and attend consistently tend to see the fastest and most lasting results.

Early signs that things are shifting often include:

  • Sleeping more soundly and waking feeling less braced for the day

  • Noticing an anxious thought without being pulled under by it

  • Feeling less reactive in relationships and more able to stay grounded

  • A quiet but growing sense that you are starting to come back to yourself

 

You are not signing up for open-ended therapy with no clear direction. You are making a structured, supported investment in feeling genuinely different.

INVESTMENT

Hypnotherapy sessions are £95 each when booked as a block of three or more, or £135 for a single session. For anxiety work, a block is usually the most effective and most cost-efficient way to begin.
