As a trained Doula and Maternity reflexologist, I know how exciting yet overwhelming being pregnant can be. Each week can bring a physical and emotional change. I believe that it is important to feel empowered and relaxed throughout your pregnancy. Women’s bodies are uniquely and exquisitely designed to conceive, grow, nurture and give birth to babies. Sometimes you just need to be reminded of this and how amazing you are!

Planning for and conceiving a baby is one of the most exciting experiences in a couple’s life and anticipating parenthood can be an emotional and fulfilling time.

Preconceptual care is all about preparing the body, mind and spirit for the miracle of conceiving, growing and birthing a baby and both men and women are encouraged to have treatments to help regulate the menstrual cycle and to stimulate healthy sperm production.

During the nine months of pregnancy a woman’s body goes through enormous physical changes; a new life is developing inside her and pregnancy hormones are abundant.
For some women this can be a long period of discomfort and fatigue with nausea, headaches, backache and other conditions associated with pregnancy, taking away the joy and excitement of being pregnant and expecting a baby.

Baby's Grasp

Women can feel both jubilant and exhausted as well as experiencing other conflicting emotions after the baby’s birth. Loss of sleep, breastfeeding problems, frustration and fatigue can all take its toll on the new family.

Maternity Reflexology is used to nurture the woman and her baby on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, pre-conceptually, throughout pregnancy, the birth itself and during the postnatal period.

Research has shown that reflexology in pregnancy may significantly reduce pain during labour, reduced the length of the first stage of labour and improved quality of sleep in post-natal women.

Abdominal-Sacral massage is great for both preconception & post natal. After the birth it can help with any digestive issues as well as assisting with nerve and lymph supply which are an advantage as this speeds up the healing process. It is also great for any c-section scars. You can receive this treatment 6 weeks post natal.
