Reiki – what?
I had never heard of Reiki until I started my studies in Reflexology. Before this point, for the last 5 or so years, I had been creating a life that was leaving me feeling very tired, angry, confused & vulnerable – but most importantly very unloved! I had zero respect for myself.
The biggest gift that I was given at this time was self-reliance and self-love. I became calmer but also remember feeling more positive about who I was and what I had to offer. I felt that I had gone into slow motion whilst everyone around me was scurrying about. I will add that this didn’t happen overnight and wasn’t a thunderbolt that struck me. It was a subtle change that I realised how different I felt a few months later.
Fast forward 10 years of being a Teacher and Practitioner – I have seen & felt how this wonderful Japanese healing therapy works by intuitively actively your bodies innate ability to heal itself. As a teacher there is nothing better than holding space for one of my students.
Reiki heals and clears stagnant energy blocks and patterns so energy can flow freely in your body. This energy is deeply nourishing helping to soothe chronic conditions, release trauma and assist in physical recovery.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
