I am a firm believer in ‘Love what you do and do what you love!’ This phrase sums up how I feel about the work I do – I just love these wonderful therapies and I love supporting all my wonderful clients.
I am a complementary therapist and not an alternative therapist. Why? Alongside doctors, we have a plethora of amazing practitioners who have the knowledge and presence to empower us to lead the life we want. We complement each other.
I worked in the corporate world in London for 17 years as part of an executive board team. I witnessed first-hand how stress affected not only myself but also my colleagues – many were unsettled emotionally, physically ill and out of balance. Some even needed stress leave. I also experienced some of my closest friends battling with stress and anxiety and observed the impact it had on their personal lives. Through these observations and first hand experience, I realised I wanted to make a difference and help to support as many people as possible to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. This included myself.
Over time, I have developed a special interest in helping women achieve health and balance. The hormonal system is delicate and can easily become irregular, causing many problems for the individual. I strongly believe that hormone balance is essential to a woman’s overall health and well-being, greatly impacting her longevity and quality of life. I work with my patients to restore equilibrium and in so doing I have found this impacts, in particular, where a woman has fertility issues. It has been a joy and so fulfilling to work with women who after much distress, fall pregnant!
In essence, the work I do is supportive, natural, and encompasses an authentic and positive intention to assist healing and enhance quality of life.
Training & my Associations
This sparked my interest in this wonderful therapy and I decided to look into it further. In 2009 I undertook a professional practitioner training course at The Practitioners School of Reflexology in West London. I was extremely fortunate to have as my teacher Andrew James DIHOM, MAR, MIFA (Reg), ITEC a Reflexologist and Homeopath, with whom I passed my degree, in 2010, achieving a distinction. I have since been a member of the Association of Reflexologists (www.aor.org.uk).
Through continued development I also offer:
- Fertility Reflexology,
- Abdominal-Sacral Massage
- Maternity Reflexology,
- Hot Stone Reflexology,
- Indian Head Massage,
- Usui Reiki & Karuna Reiki. I am also a qualified Reiki Master Teacher enabling me to pass Reiki teachings onto others.
I had been practising part time in London since I qualified in 2010 and in 2016 I moved my practice to Oxfordshire.
